There was some discussion a few months back about VIA withdrawing all Renaissance equipment from Corridor trains, with the last word being that 2 sets were being kept on stand-by at the MMC and the rest were in storage.
Well turns out those 2 sets have been put back into service to cover the current equipment needs. I saw one set on VIA 23 (at Saint-Hyacinthe the other day....photos shortly with a trip report I'm putting together), which got me to check reservia for what's listed -> right now trains 23, 24, 26 and 29 are all showing Ren equipment.
Interestingly the website also shows those trains as having checked baggage service available, though the current timetable indicates that they don't. I assume that's part of what comes with the Renaissance equipment being inserted into the online system, and will likely disappear when they switch it to LRC or HEP.
Will be interested to see if this becomes the new pattern, with those couple Ren sets just pushed into service when things are busy and short on other equip.
