Last Friday (October 3rd) I was at French River on the Parry Sound Sub' around 12 00. Saw the tail end of the train crossing the bridge as we walked on the pedestrian bridge west of Highway 69. Did the train encounter problems or does it take 14 hours to reach that point from Toronto assuming a 22 00 departure?

The timetable says the train is supposed to be at Sudbury (CN)
at 05:13 Friday morning. By noon it should be well past Foleyet.
So the train you saw was very late.

Unfortunately, you can't assume an 22:00 departure from Toronto.
#2 is often very late arriving in Toronto, and that can lead to a
late departure for #1. I don't know if that was the case for the
departure scheduled for last Thursday evening, or if the delays
occurred after the train left Toronto.
