I'm thinking of visiting Exporail using VIA to Dorval and then taxi.
I see there is a commuter train stop at St. Constant, just a short walk from the museum.
Is there a commuter train connection to VIA that works on the weekend?

No Doug. The Candiac AMT line operates on a weekday schedule only.

If this is any help there is an alternative daily local bus service ( French only ) :

According to the Exporail website, you CAN visit Exporail by rail on AMT, thanks to a reverse morning train and a noon-day train (I didn't know this line had either):

"From Monday through Friday the Candiac/St-Constant, commuter train leaves at 9:35 a.m. from platform No. 2 at Lucien-L'Allier station in Montreal to St-Constant and makes a return trip from St Constant to to Montreal at 1:28 p.m.. For more information go to l’Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) http://www.amt.qc.ca/train/delson-candiac/horaires.aspx. "

(I'm 30 minutes closer to St. Constant than before, thanks to Autoroute 30!)

Yes quite so James.

The initial inquiry made at this forum was about anything the AMT may have available on weekends.

Thanks for the web link.
