CN derailment Brockville

Advised by Service Manager on this morning's VIA No 651: due to 26-car derailment in Brockville area, VIA No 650 will be only train operating east of Toronto this evening. Others bustituted. We did meet J-train consist (No 50/60?) east of Toronto.

The CN derailment was at   CN LYN , which is the west end of the Brockville Yard.

Remember a previous derailment of CN No 310? Mallorytown, ON, near Brockville. The date: January 15, 2001.

That morning, CN No 423 - a transformer move to Lennox Generation Station near Bath, ON had stopped overnight in Kingston with Schnabel Car HEPX 200 and CN 79640, its accompanying caboose. VIA's Enterprise, train No 50 was held and wyed at Kingston to return to Toronto. VIA 6428-4121-Chateau Radisson-Yoho Park reposes on Queens with 423, passengers having been bussed east.
