Via Rail's one track minded president took part in a radio interview this morning on Mike Finnerty's CBC Radio Daybreak programme here in Montreal.
His interview so far has not been archived or posted at the CBC Montreal's web site. With the exception of these ' tweets ' at CBC Live : http://live.cbc.ca/Event/CBC_Montreal?Page=805 http://live.cbc.ca/Event/CBC_Montreal?Page=805
Nothing of any substance was announced. Nor did the interview cover anything on the suspended Gaspe service. He also makes no apologies for decreased federal funding. Making it sound like shareholder value to justify what the feds do. ? !
The radio host pointed out how service levels have deteriorated. Prime example being Montreal-Toronto schedules that exceed four hours. Mr.DeSiciliano doesn't subscribe to the idea of a TGV type train. Rather a 160 mph form of Via 'Fast'. But has no idea if it will ever happen.
Perhaps like my e-mail he in effect said a whole lot of........nothin' !
