In the past we had considered using the fast ferry that used to run, seriously considering getting a place near Parksville.
At that time you could take a Fast Ferry from downtown Vancouver to downtown Nanaimo. Walk a few blocks up the hill to the VIA station then catch the train not to long after the ferry arrived and return trip worked as well with timing.
Rode it a couple of times with this system was a quick trip and way to save on taking a car across on the Ferry.
Would be great if it could work again. I would hope the fast ferry would run downtown to downtown again.
The Nanaimo station looks very nice since it was rebuilt after the fire.
Very postitive news if VIA runs again look forward to another few trips!
