The tourist train will run on the New Carlisle to Gaspe (Chandler Subdivision) line this week. VIA Rail has refused to run its trains east of New Carlisle since December 2011. If all the bridges east of New Carlisle can handle the weight of the tourist train they can't be in all the bad of shape. The Gaspésie Railway Society warns people to be cautious when approaching a railroad crossing. No train has circulated on the New Carlisle to Gaspe line since November 2013.
The train will stop in Port-Daniel on July 4 for the "La petite seduction" show then it will continue to Chandler. Their will be a open house in Chandler on July 5 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM then the train will go to Gaspe. Their will be a open house in Gaspe on July 6 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
