Victoria is thinking about where to put a station for the new
southern terminus of the Esquimalt & Nanaimo.

The story lists three possible sites. The first two appear to
me to be only a block apart: the northwest corner of the roundhouse
site, at Esquimalt Road and Catherine St., on land now owned by a
third party, or a block farther west, where the Island Corridor
Foundation already owns some land. The third site is closer
to downtown, near the west end of the Johnson Street bridge.

I'm still not totally convinced the trains are ever coming back,
but it's good to see that planning is going ahead in case they do.

"Victoria councillors are divided on where best to locate a new
terminal for the E&N Rail station, should passenger service be
restored to the line.

"They will look to staff, the railway owner and the public before
making any decision. ..."
