It took waaaay too long, my most recent opportunity was foiled by the derailment and bustitutions of the east-of-Kingston derailment. I finally made it a trip in refurb Business Class car yesterday. Overall, like! Watch for an upcoming Trackside Treasure post.
Also yesterday, 27 trains observed west of Union Station in one hour in beautiful weather. The College Expo was on, with displays set up in the Skywalk, which is now fully open, including the railfan location at the CN Tower end. Several Metrolinx-painted locomotives and cars, plus some cool Alberta bilevel wraps.
Railfanning note: the new Metrolinx-painted bilevels have 'Metrolinx' on one end, replacing one of the car numbers on the side, leaving only one remaining.
Panorama Lounge was busy, with No 1's departure scheduled for 2315. I could easily spot the transcontinental travellers, and that made me a little envious!
