Last Saturday, VIA opreated X605 "Centraide Western" that run once a year between Montreal and St-Tite for the huge Western Festival there. Train runs on the same schedule as 601, continue to Hervey Jct, turn in the wye, then park on nearby St-Thecle siding for the remaining of the day just next to a snack bar where the crew lunch before resting on the train. CN 369 and 566 pass while the extra is in the siding. Extra leaves only around 1830. The consist this year was F40 6433, 8 coaches (4111-8139-4102-4111-8139-4102-8142-4113-8138-4122) and Strathcona Park at rear. Note that the 8100 coaches are former Amtrak coaches and not CPs, and they are not the coaches usually assigned to Saguenay/Abitibi trains (8145-46-47 with galley). Erick @ Quebec Last year consist was similar but with a Skyline instead of a Park.
